VEED Review (2026): Pricing, the Free Plan Watermark, and Editing vs Generating Your Ads

Our verdict

VEED is a browser-based video editor.

VEED is designed for editing footage you already have. If you want ads generated from your product and brand, Predis.ai is the better fit.

Overview

What is VEED?

VEED is an online video editor that runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install. You upload footage, trim and arrange it on a timeline, add text, music, and subtitles, and export for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn.

Its audience is people who make video every week but do not want to learn professional software like Premiere Pro: marketers, founders, creators, and teams who publish captioned video regularly.

Around the editor, VEED has added AI tools for subtitles, translation, audio cleanup, and, more recently, AI avatars and text-to-video. The editor is still the center of the product.

Free plan

Can you use VEED for free?

Yes, but not without a watermark.

VEED has a permanent free plan, and every video you export on it carries a VEED watermark. The only way to export without the watermark is a paid plan.

Free plan limits

WatermarkVEED watermark on every export
Export resolutionUp to 720p
Export lengthUp to 10 minutes per video
AI toolsLimited AI usage, reported as around 120 credits
Storage2GB, as reported
Upload size1GB per file, as reported

The free plan lets you learn the editor and make videos where a watermark does not matter, like internal drafts or personal clips. It is not meant for publishing branded ads.

How to remove the VEED watermark

  1. 01
Upgrade the workspace to a paid plan. You cannot edit or move the watermark on the free plan.
  2. 02
Check that you are working in the upgraded workspace, not a separate free one.
  3. 03
Export the video again. The watermark is added to the file at export, so videos you exported before upgrading keep it.

If the watermark still appears after you pay, VEED's help center says to confirm that the payment went through, since a failed payment returns the workspace to the free plan.

Pricing

VEED pricing

VEED has a free plan and several paid plans, billed monthly or annually. Paid plans remove the watermark, raise export quality, and add more AI tools and credits. Prices below were checked on 9 October 2026 on VEED's pricing page.

Free $0
  • Watermark
  • 720p
  • 10-minute exports
Creator $25/month 500 AI credits / month
  • No watermark
  • Unlimited auto subtitles
  • Full audio and video catalog
  • 15+ AI tools and Gen-AI Studio
Pro $45/month 2,500 AI credits / month
  • Everything in Creator

  • Up to 12 hours of AI voice a month
Studio $79/month 15,000 AI credits / month
  • Everything in Pro
  • Custom templates
  • Up to 80 hours of AI voice a month

Two things to know before you pay:

AI credits are separate from the plan.

VEED's AI tools draw on a monthly credit allowance that differs by plan. If you plan to use avatars or heavy AI features, check how many credits your plan includes. Creator includes 500 credits a month, Pro 2,500, and Studio 15,000.

Cancel before renewal.

VEED's help center says to cancel at least two business days before the renewal date, and cancelling does not refund the current period.

Features

What VEED does

These are VEED's main features for editing footage you already have, based on its public product pages and help docs.

Subtitles

Automatic subtitles are the VEED feature reviewers mention most. You generate captions automatically, fix any word in a text editor, style them, and translate them into other languages. Captions matter for social video, where many people watch with the sound off.

Editing your own footage

The timeline editor includes the basic tools for social and marketing video: trimming, splitting, resizing for each platform, text, music, transitions, and screen and webcam recording. It runs in the browser, so a team can work on it from any computer without installing anything.

Audio and cleanup tools

Clean Audio removes background noise, Magic Cut trims silences and filler from talking-head footage, and Eye Contact corrects where a speaker is looking. These tools are aimed at podcasts, interviews, and talking-to-camera videos.

Team workflow

Paid plans add a brand kit for fonts, colors, and logos, shared workspaces, and review and comments, so a team can keep videos consistent and approve them in one place.

Repurposing long videos

AI Clips finds short moments in a longer recording and cuts them into vertical clips, and one project can be resized for each platform without rebuilding it. If your team records webinars, podcasts, or interviews, this turns that footage into short clips for social posts.

The workflow test

The workflow test: the same video in VEED and Predis.ai

An editor and a generator are built for different starting points, so comparing feature lists would not tell you much. Instead, we gave both tools the same job and compared the process as well as the result.

The job: turn the same written prompt into one 9:16 UGC-style creator video in each tool, aiming for a result we would publish.

What we measured: the number of steps, the time each one took, what each tool needed from us before it could start, and how the finished ads scored. We used each tool the way a new user would, with its default settings. The rule for both: finish the video inside the tool, with no outside software.

Input
The same prompt in both tools: a creator in a small home gym, filmed handheld like a selfie, sharing a morning workout routine and tips on staying consistent, with no product, brand, or sales message

The prompt had no product or brand, so brand fit was not scored. Credits are each tool's own unit, so the two numbers are not directly comparable.

What we saw

Both tools turned the same prompt into a 9:16 creator video with no footage or script needed, but Predis.ai was faster: four steps and about 3 min 50 s, against five steps and about 4 min 45 s in VEED. Predis.ai's video looked more realistic and felt closer to a real creator, with natural movement and the creator doing other activities instead of only talking to camera.

Decision guide

Editor or generator: which do you need?

The honest answer depends on what you are starting with.

Three questions to decide:

  1. Do you already have footage you want to use?If yes, VEED is an editor for that footage.
  2. Do you want to shape every cut and caption yourself? In VEED, you set each one by hand.
  3. Do you want the ad generated for you from your product and brand? That is the job Predis.ai is built for.
Choose VEED if

you have footage and want editing control.

If you film products, record talking-head videos, or cut clips from longer recordings, VEED is a browser-based editor with automatic subtitles and audio cleanup tools. You decide every cut, caption, and frame.

  • You already have footage, or you are happy to film it
  • You want to control every cut and caption
  • Your videos go beyond ads: tutorials, podcasts, interviews, and social clips
Choose Predis.ai if

you want ads generated from your product and brand.

Predis.ai is an AI ad platform for ads that look like your brand. You start from your product rather than a timeline.

  • You want the tool to generate ads that look like your brand
  • Reference-ad input lets you start from an ad you already like
  • Insights and competitor intelligence show what works in your category, and autoposting publishes for you

Predis.ai offers a 3-day trial, card required, so you can run the same product through both tools.

User reviews

What users say

VEED's ratings vary by site. It holds 4.2 on Trustpilot from 3,889 reviews, 4.6 on G2 from about 2,185 reviews, and 3.2 on Capterra from 63 reviews. Here are the patterns that come up most.

What users like

  • Ease of use. Reviewers most often say they find VEED intuitive, and that beginners can make a professional-looking video without training.
  • Subtitles. Reviewers mention the accuracy and speed of the automatic subtitles, and say they are easy to correct.
  • Audio cleanup. Reviewers mention the background noise removal and other cleanup tools for talking-head video.
  • No install. Reviewers often mention working in the browser, from any computer.

What users complain about

  • Credits. Some users say AI credits ran out faster than expected, especially when trying the newer AI features.
  • Billing and refunds. A pattern of complaints concerns auto-renewal charges and refund requests that were declined. This matches VEED's stated policy that cancelling does not refund the current period, so cancel before renewal.
  • Performance and bugs. Some reviewers report lag with larger files, crashes, or edits that did not save.
  • Support. Some negative reviews describe slow or template replies from support.
  • AI output quality. A few users say the AI avatar and background removal results did not match their expectations.

Common questions

FAQs

The free plan, the watermark, trials, cancelling, AI tools, the API, and ads.

Is VEED free?

Yes, VEED has a permanent free plan. Every video exported on it carries a VEED watermark, at up to 720p and 10 minutes per video, with limited AI usage. Removing the watermark requires a paid plan.

Upgrade to a paid plan, then export the video again from the upgraded workspace. The watermark is added to the file at export, so videos exported on the free plan keep it, and it cannot be edited or moved on the free plan.

In VEED, open your profile, go to Workspace Settings, then Workspace Billing, and turn off auto-renewal. Cancel at least two business days before your renewal date. You keep access until the end of the billing period, and cancelling does not refund it. If you subscribed through the iOS app, cancel in your Apple subscriptions instead.

Yes. VEED has added AI generation tools, including text-to-video and AI avatars, alongside its editor. They draw on AI credits, and the editor remains the core of the product. For ads made from your product and brand, Predis.ai is built for that job.

Not on its editor plans. VEED's publicly listed plans do not include API access. Separately, VEED offers developer APIs for some AI models, such as subtitles and lip sync, through the fal.ai platform.

If you want ads generated from your product and brand, yes: Predis.ai is built for that, with reference-ad input and insights. If you have footage and want full editing control, VEED is designed for that. The workflow test above shows both on the same prompt.
