Steve AI Review (2026): Pricing, Text-to-Video Quality, and Is It Right for Ads?
Steve AI turns a script into a story, but it can't take your product image or video as input, so its video quality and product accuracy fall short for ads.
Steve AI in short: a text-to-video and animation platform. You give it a script, a blog post, a prompt, or audio, and it turns that into a finished video with animation, stock footage, or AI-generated scenes.
-
Explainers and YouTube videos
Steve AI covers this. It turns a script or blog post into a narrated explainer.
-
Faceless and social content
Steve AI covers this. It uses animated characters, stock footage, and AI voiceovers to make faceless videos without filming.
-
Ads for your product
Steve AI markets ad and UGC use cases. If you want ads made from your product and brand, compare it with Predis.ai. Our side-by-side test shows both.
Disclosure: Predis.ai makes a competing product for one of Steve AI's use cases, ads. We built this review from Steve AI's public pricing and product pages, user reviews, and one side-by-side ad test.
What is Steve AI?
Steve AI is a text-to-video platform made by Animaker, the company behind the Animaker animation app. Where Animaker is a hands-on animation editor, Steve AI is the AI-led route: you supply the words, and it builds the scenes, picks visuals, and adds a voiceover for you. Both products sit under the same company and share a lot of the same character and asset library.
Reviewers describe it as beginner-friendly. It has a guided flow and timeline editing.

How text-to-video works
-
01
Choose your input.
Paste a script, the text of a blog post, a short prompt, or upload audio. The Advanced Prompter helps you write a better prompt if you are starting from an idea.
-
02
Pick a style.
Steve AI lists 7+ output styles, including animation, live-action stock footage, and fully generative video.
-
03
Let it build the scenes.
Steve AI splits your text into scenes, matches visuals to each one, and adds an AI voiceover in the accent and language you choose.
-
04
Edit on the timeline.
Swap a visual, change the text, adjust the voice, or reorder scenes on a simple timeline, then export.
There are also two more specialized entry points: Image to Video, which adds motion to a still image, and Generative AI, which creates a fully AI-generated video.
Steve AI for explainers and YouTube
Verdict: Steve AI is designed for this. It turns a script or a blog post into a narrated explainer, and it builds most of the video for you.
- From words to video in one flow. Paste a script or a blog post and you get a complete first cut, with scenes, visuals, and a voiceover, ready to edit.
- Animation for explainers. Animated characters and scenes can show abstract ideas, processes, and how-tos, and there is a library of characters to work with.
- Voiceovers in many accents and languages. This applies to creators who publish in English and a regional language, or who want a specific voice for their audience. Steve AI also offers multi-voice narration and an AI Video Translator for 10+ languages.
- Guided flow. The guided flow and timeline editor do not require editing skills.
For YouTube creators, Steve AI can turn a blog post into a video. It does not read a link, so paste the article's text in. If you already write articles, you can repurpose each one into a video without recording anything.
A typical workflow. Write or paste your script, let Steve AI build the first cut, then spend your time on the parts that matter: the opening scene, the key visual for each point, and the voice. For a 3 to 5 minute explainer, that is a different job from building every scene by hand.
Steve AI for faceless and social content
Verdict: Steve AI covers this. It builds every scene from text, so it can make faceless videos, where nobody appears on camera.
- No filming needed. Animated characters, stock footage, or generated scenes fill the screen, and an AI voice does the talking.
- Made from text in batches. Because each video starts from text, you can turn a list of ideas into a week of short videos.
- Styles to switch between. Switching between animation, live-action, and generative styles lets you vary the look without learning new tools.
- Resize for each platform. Steve AI makes videos in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, so one idea can become a vertical short, a square post, and a widescreen video.
The trade-off is the same as with any template-led tool: videos can start to look alike if you rely on the defaults, so it helps to customize characters, colors, and pacing as you go.
Where it fits in a content plan. Many faceless channels run on a simple loop: research a topic, write a short script, generate, review, publish. Steve AI covers the generate step and most of the edit. The research and scripting are still yours, and they decide whether a video gets watched.
Steve AI for ads: the side-by-side test with Predis.ai
This is the one use case where Predis.ai competes with Steve AI, so it is where we ran our test.
Why we tested ads, not explainers. For explainers and faceless videos, we did not run a test. Ads are different, because they need the product shown accurately, a fast hook, and a look that matches the brand, so that is where a side-by-side comparison is useful.
What Steve AI offers for ads: Steve AI markets ad and UGC use cases, including a Facebook video maker for ads, slideshows, newsfeed videos, and stories, and Twitter video ads. Ads sit alongside its explainer and faceless use cases, so the question is how its output compares with a tool built for ads. We describe what it offers here and leave quality judgments to the test.
The test: the same product and the same prompt, in 9:16, in both tools, using each tool's defaults and its first output without edits. It is one test, not a benchmark.

Scores, 1 to 5
Scored by: Predis.ai Team| Criteria | Steve AI | Predis.ai |
|---|---|---|
| Brand fit | 2.5 | 5 |
| Product shown accurately | 2 | 5 |
| Visual quality, cinematography, and lighting | 2 | 5 |
| Overall video quality | 2.5 | 4.5 |
| Ready to run without edits | 2 | 4.5 |
What we saw
Predis.ai's ad scored higher on every criterion, with the widest gaps on product accuracy and visual quality (5 against 2) and on brand fit (5 against 2.5). Steve AI's close-ups placed the motor at the pedals and garbled the VOLT logo in the riding shots, and its 22-second ad opened on an empty road with no headline or call to action on screen. Predis.ai kept the cycle on screen from the first frame, with one consistent golden-hour look across the 15-second ad, and it finished in about half the time for about $4.43 against about $5.80.
Where Predis.ai fits
Predis.ai is an AI ad platform for ads, AI videos, UGC AI Avatar videos that look like your brand. If your main job is ads and videos from an input, reference-ad input lets you start from an ad you already like, fix-one-frame editing lets you change one part without starting over, and insights and competitor intelligence are built in. Predis.ai offers a 3-day trial, card required, so you can run the same product through both tools.
Steve AI pricing
Steve AI has a free-forever plan and three paid plans. Paid plans scale by AI credits per month, export resolution, the AI models you can use, and watermark removal, and every paid plan can buy add-ons such as Power Ups and extra generative credits. Prices below were checked on 15 October 2026 on Steve AI's pricing page.
Before you pick a plan, estimate how many minutes of video you will make each month, which resolution your channels need, and whether a watermark is acceptable. Those three answers usually decide the plan.
| Plan | USD | AI credits a month | Resolution | Watermark | AI models |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 500 (slideshow videos only) | 480p | Steve AI watermark | Standard AI models |
| Lite | $40 | 4,000 | 720p | None | Nano Banana and Kling |
| Premium | $160 | 16,000 | 1080p | None | Nano Banana and Kling |
| Creator | $320 | 32,000 | 2K | None | Nano Banana Pro, Kling Pro, and Seedance 2.0 |
Prices are per month, billed monthly; annual billing costs less per month. Paid plans add full animated video on top of slideshows. An Enterprise plan with custom pricing adds the Steve AI API, the full brand kit, and reports and analytics.
