Impression

For all the public accounts on Instagram, there are multiple tools that help in understanding how well the content is doing on the app. People view content on Instagram, some like it, some interact more with it. This shows how well the post is doing on the app. However, the term Impression means how often a post is seen by someone on social media regardless of whether they react to it or not.

For example, if a person views a reel and then it shows up in another person’s feed then these are the number of impressions that the reel has received. This will show how many accounts came across the content that was posted by a page. Furthermore, this can be compared with the number of interactions and hence it can be made out how well the content is doing. This will help in strategizing what type of content is required to be posted on the page and what does not work for the page.
