Instagram was all about images and videos when it was first introduced as a social media app. Now after years, there are multiple features that have been added to the app. These features make the app super user-friendly and presently, it is also catering to business needs. People can use multiple features on this social media app to run their businesses online. One such feature is Carousel which was launched in the year 2017.

Initially, only 10 pictures and videos were allowed to be posted in post through this picture. However, with time now business pages can post about 15 images at one go. Users are using this feature posting memories, pictures and videos from events and so on. This feature has also been used by the business pages and accounts to display their ads and products to the audience.

How to post a carousel on Instagram –

  1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the ‘+’ icon at the bottom centre of the screen to create a new post.
  3. Tap the icon that looks like stacked squares or two overlapping rectangles.
  4. This icon allows you to select multiple photos and videos for your carousel.
  5. Select up to 10 photos and/or videos from your camera roll.
  6. Tap on each item you want to include in your carousel.
  7. The order in which you tap will determine the sequence of the carousel.
  8. A number will appear on each selected item to indicate its position in the carousel.
  9. Tap “Next” or the arrow icon in the top right corner.
  10. Edit each photo or video individually by swiping to move through the selected items. You can apply filters, adjust brightness, contrast, and more.
  11. Tap the “Edit” option for more advanced editing tools.
  12. If you want to change the order of your photos and videos, tap and hold a photo or video, then drag it to the desired position.
  13. Tap “Next” or the arrow icon again to proceed.
  14. Write a caption for your carousel. This caption will be applied to the entire post.
  15. Tag people by tapping “Tag People” and selecting the individuals in each photo or video.
  16. Add a location by tapping “Add Location.”
  17. Tap “Advanced Settings” to turn off comments or set up other preferences for your post.
  18. Once you’re satisfied with your carousel, tap “Share” or the checkmark icon to publish your post.
