IB (Inspired By)

In life, we all get inspired by a lot of things. There are multiple online influencers, actors, social workers and politicians that we get inspiration from. In social media, there are a lot of videos and content that we are inspired by. Haven’t we all tried trends from Social media? after getting inspired by certain videos or reels? IB is used in such cases.

IB – Inspired By

If you make content that is inspired by someone or something and want to mention it in the caption or the post, then you can use IB to give credit to the original owner of the idea. For example, there are a lot of budding make-up artists on social media who post make-up and transition videos online. Most of them mention who it is inspired by.

Examples

If you are someone who loves to try different things by taking inspiration from people online, then do not forget to mention them and give them credit for their work. Inspirational content cannot be said to be copied content as the final content posted is made just from inspiration and does not copy the whole idea.

For example, if someone found a clean girl make-up look online and made a video with that inspiration then they can mention it in the video or the caption by saying “IB – @Nikkietutorials”.

A lot of artists are seen to take inspiration from people, buildings, other artists and even nature. Most of the artists usually mention where their inspiration came from. For instance, “IB the beautiful sunset I witnessed while I was on the beach. The picture came out just how I imagined it to be.”

If you are someone who posts dance videos and music videos, then you can mention who it is inspired by. “This dance video is inspired by the late Micheal Jackson. Also tried to do his iconic Moonwalk!”
