Bitmoji

The most popular social media app Snapchat was introduced on the internet in 2011. Ever since its introduction, there have been various features that have been added to the app. To facilitate messaging and communication, they introduced something known as Bitmoji in 2017. Bitmojis are personalized cartoon avatars that users can create to represent themselves in the app. In 2019, Snapchat introduced Bitmoji Stories, which allowed users to see their avatars in various comic strip-style stories and scenarios within the app.

Snapchat continues to integrate these 3D emojis into various aspects of the app, including new features and experiences, to enhance user engagement and personalization. The evolution of Bitmoji on Snapchat reflects a broader trend in social media towards personalization and visual communication, with these avatars playing a key role in allowing users to express themselves creatively in the digital world.
