Memories hold a great deal of importance in our lives. It is memories that keep us going and keep us happy. Social media is a great way of looking back at memories through our posts and the stories that we posted a long time ago. It reminds us of who we were and the people who were around us. TBT stands for “Throwback Thursday” and is an internet term for sharing old pictures and posts on social media on a Thursday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This term originated around 2011 – 2012 as a way for people to share a glimpse of their past. This has now become a widely used abbreviation to share the past and reminisce the past on social media. We all have the urge to post old pictures on social media from time to time. It makes us feel closer to the past and the moments we shared at that time with the people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This abbreviation emerged as a fun way to reminisce and share past experiences with others on social media and online forums. This way we can share the moments we like with our friends and family. This is mostly used in the form of a Hashtag on Instagram. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“TBT to the time when we went hiking and Morgan couldn’t catch her breath all along the way. It was the best part of college final year for me.” Here a person is reminiscing about the hiking experience during the college final year with her friends. This is a great way to share old pictures on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“TBT to the time when I was five years old. It was my Birthday and I requested a princess cake. This was the perfect moment I hoped for.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Old picture from my Internship. #TBT.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These pictures make me emotional always. Our daughter’s first time walking. #TBT.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
