We all have common friends in real life. For every friend group, there are people who are involved in more than just one friend group. These are called Mutual friends. Just like in real life, we all have mutual friends on social media as well. We can find certain friends in the friend list or followers of other people as well. These are called mutual friends in social media. Moots is a slang that is short for “Mutual”. <\/p>\n\n\n

Mutual friends can be found on social media like Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. This slang is just another word for mutual friends. It can be used on social media and in general conversations online. People use it over text messages and often don’t like to use long term like mutual friends. Instead, they just use Moots and lead the conversation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>Examples –<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Person 1 – “I got a request from someone called Henry last night. I was going to ignore it, but then I noticed that you were on the Moots so I decided to confirm with you in case I’m forgetting something here.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Person 2 – “Lemme see. Oh! This is Henry from fourth grade. Remember? We used to be the trio and later he changed schools and we lost touch.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here the person was confused about the identity of someone who gave them a follow request. Since she found her friend on the mutual friend list she went ahead to confirm it from her if she was missing something and got to know it was an old friend from school. Mutual friends are a great way of finding relations and ensuring you are not adding strangers on social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Nowadays, it is so easy to find people on social media through Moots.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have a lot of Moots since we went to the same school and later the same college!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
