If you are a social media enthusiast, then you must have a lot of abbreviations and terms in your online dictionary. Let’s add another term to this list. Highkey is the opposite of lowkey. It is used to express strong enthusiasm or interest in something online. It usually comes out in a dramatic way and is used to emphasize the intensity and obviousness of a feeling, preference or character. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to emphasize something and show how obvious it is then you can use this term. This digital term can be used in two manners –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. As an Adverb – When used as an adverb it means openly, blatantly, or with great intensity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. As an Adjective – When used as an adjective, it implies that something is obvious, intense or prominent. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    <\/span>As an Adverb<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    It is used to express with great intensity regarding something. For example, “I highkey love this outfit. It goes really well for spring fashion.” Here the person is intensely obsessed with the outfit choice and is trying to express how much they love it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you want to show how much you like something then you can use it as follows –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “I am highkey obsessed with the Rare album. It has such amazing songs.” Here the person is explaining their intense liking towards a music album. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “She highkey makes the best banana bread. I have tried her recipe so many times. Yet she always makes it better every time.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/span>As an adjective<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    This term can be used as an adjective as follows –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “She is highkey obsessed with this TV series right now.” Here it is shown how she is currently obsessed with a TV series and shows the intensity of liking here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “Mary is highkey obsessed with Harry Potter. She has a lot of Harry Potter merch too.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    “You seem to be highkey obsessing over lipglosses lately.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
