    In the first case, where you acknowledge a dancer’s work and repost it on social media, giving credit is crucial. When reposting something on social media it is important to give credit because it can later lead to copyright issues. It is important to show acknowledgement for someone’s work. For example, if you repost a video by Martha Graham (a famous American choreographer), you can mention it in the caption like – “DC – Martha Grahams.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Haven’t we all seen a lot of dancers taking inspiration from other choreographers and dancers online and posting their own videos with dance steps from them? In such cases, you can simply use it like – “DC – Camilla Cabello, my inspiration for this dance video.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There are a lot of dancers who learn it from a teacher and like to acknowledge their teacher’s hard work and mention it to express their gratitude. In such cases, Dance Credit can be used to show appreciation for their teachings. For example, “I learnt contemporary dance from Mr. Anita Simon and would like to give the Dance Credit in this video to her for making me the dancer that I am today.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When reposting a section of a music video or dance video, you can use Dance Credit or DC to avoid any copyright issues and declare that you are only reposting them. This way you can share any video or reels and express your liking for the video. For example, “DC – Selena Gomez from the music video ‘Calm down’. What a wonderful song and choreography.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
